By downloading or using TempleGo, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What TempleGo is
TempleGo is a cultural travel and learning companion for Hong Kong temples and kau cim (fortune stick) traditions. It is not an official app of any temple or religious organisation, and not a fortune-telling, destiny-prediction, or professional advice service.
Content is independently compiled for education and entertainment. Opening hours, rites, and on-site practices can change — always confirm with the temple or its official channels.
2. Guest First and accounts
Most features work as a guest. Optional sign-in enables cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse OCR, AI, or ads; disrupt or abuse the service; upload illegal or infringing content; or misrepresent TempleGo as an official temple or religious authority. We may suspend or limit access if these Terms are violated.
4. AI cultural readings
AI output is for cultural understanding and entertainment only. It does not predict the future, guarantee outcomes, or replace medical, legal, financial, or religious advice. Free daily limits and optional rewarded-ad bonus unlocks may apply.
Explanations are intended to include a disclosure: cultural explanation, not prediction.
5. Advertising
TempleGo may offer optional rewarded ads (Google AdMob) to unlock extra AI credits. Watching ads is voluntary. Core guest browsing does not require watching ads.
6. Intellectual property
TempleGo branding, software, and our original compilation of guides and UX are owned by us or our licensors. Temple names and third-party marks belong to their owners. You may share fortune cards for personal, non-commercial use. Do not scrape or redistribute our datasets at scale without permission.
7. Feedback
Ideas you send via feedback may be used to improve TempleGo without obligation to compensate you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that content is complete or up to date for any temple visit.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TempleGo and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or loss arising from reliance on cultural or AI content, temple visit decisions, or third-party services.
10. Third-party services
Links and embeds (temple websites, maps, sign-in, AdMob, analytics, cloud hosting) are governed by those parties’ terms and privacy policies.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; the effective date will change. Continued use means acceptance. You may stop using TempleGo at any time and delete your account in Settings if signed in.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise.
